Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We welcome the opportunity to become your choice tree company.
We opened our doors in 1999 because we saw the need for a reliable Tree Expert Company in the Anne Arundel County area. We wanted to provide our local community with quality tree care services at affordable prices — and after working for larger companies performing tree service for years, we felt this was something we were able to deliver.
We are a family-owned and operated company. Even our employees who are not family in the formal sense of the word have become family over the years. We have many employees who have worked for us for 15-20 years. The owners of Arundel Tree Service have a combined 59 years of hands-on experience in the industry — both are Maryland Licensed Tree Experts.
All of our crew members have a minimum of 13 years experience in the tree industry, ranging up to our most experienced crew members who have 30+ years each hands-on in the industry. Being hands-on in this industry for decades has provided us the ability to handle even the trickiest of projects — something you cannot teach or learn in a classroom.
We do not cut grass, build decks, design landscapes, lay concrete, or do additions. The fact that we provide all aspects of tree care and only tree care is something we pride ourselves on. Trees are valuable assets to your property — hiring a professional protects not only your trees but your home and family as well.

What Is a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert?
Did you know that in Maryland it is required for all practicing tree care professionals to obtain and maintain a valid Maryland Tree Expert license? Without a valid Maryland Tree Expert License it is illegal to practice or advertise for any type of tree service in the state of Maryland.
A Licensed Tree Expert (LTE) is someone who is skilled in the science of tree care — including proper pruning such as crown and root pruning, removals, and fertilization. This license must be renewed yearly and is obtained through specific training, testing, and insurance requirements. The purpose of this license is to provide consumer protection by licensing only qualifying companies and individuals.
When considering any tree care provider, make sure they are licensed by checking the DNR's website at www.dnr.state.md.us/forests. Be sure to verify that the license number provided belongs to the company performing your work.
Unfortunately there are companies and individuals who will try to pass someone else's license number off as their own — this is against the law and could result in an insurance nightmare. By not using a Licensed Tree Expert, the consumer may be held accountable for any damage or injury caused by the tree care.

Chapter 07 — Licensed Tree Experts
01 Responsibility to the Public.
A. In rendering professional services, a licensed tree expert shall comply in all respects with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to tree expert services.
B. A licensed tree expert may not engage in any form of false or misleading advertising or promotional activities, including falsification or misrepresentation of the work, qualifications, or licensing status of the tree expert.
D. A licensed tree expert shall ensure the safe operation of all equipment used in the performance of tree expert services.
E. In the performance of tree expert services, a licensed tree expert shall make every reasonable effort to protect the safety, health, property, and welfare of the public.

Crane
For large removals, storm damage, and complex projects near structures, our crane provides the lifting power and reach to safely remove trees that other methods cannot handle.
Chipper Truck & Chipper
We chip branches and debris on-site, blowing chips directly into our truck for efficient, clean removal. What would fill multiple truckloads as branches fits neatly into one load of wood chips.
